In 2017, Tyler moved to Chattanooga from Memphis, TN, where he lived for 8 years. Tyler is currently a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Tennessee, as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor. He works full time as an Assistant Professor of Counseling at Richmont Graduate University. He has also worked as an Adjunct Professor of Counseling at Harding School of Theology and the University of Mississippi.  After working as a pastor for Christ City Church for over two years, he launched his own practice, Scout Counseling, PLLC in 2016. As a therapist, he serves as a provider of psychotherapy and counseling for individuals, families, and couples in the Greater Chattanooga area, particularly to those seeking guidance from a Christian perspective.

He is passionate about seeing the Gospel transform the lives of people and pursuing Kingdom growth in Chattanooga. In his practice, Tyler seeks to thoughtfully integrate his Christian faith with his clinical practice to provide his clients with a highly ethical and professional standard of care in an affordable manner. When he is not working with his clients, you can usually find Tyler spending time with his wife and two boys, having his faith tested by the Ole Miss Rebels, discussing wine, hunting, or building something.
