Tyler Rogers, Ph.D., LMFT, LPC, NCC

Tyler works alongside individuals, couples, families and businesses to bring about healing, change, and growth. Specifically he believes in assisting clients see a “bigger picture” to understand their challenges and develop effective tools for handling those challenges. He hopes to help his clients most by going beyond coping with life to a place of authentic change in an ethical, empathic and effective manner.

Tyler provides counseling and therapy services individuals facing issues of anxiety, depression, career development, relationship issues, emotional awareness, and general life direction. He also provides counseling and therapy services to couples and families for conflict resolution and communication issues, roles, sexual issues, infidelity recovery, parenting, including adjusting to parenthood, and a number of other challenges in relationships.

Tyler also offers consultation for businesses, churches, and non-profits needing guidance in developing a healthier relationship culture, conflict management, and strategic direction.

In 2017, Tyler moved to Chattanooga from Memphis, TN, where he lived for 8 years. Tyler is currently a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Tennessee, as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor. He previously worked full time as an Associate Professor of Counseling at Richmont Graduate University, and an Adjunct Professor of Counseling at Harding School of Theology and the University of Mississippi.  After working as a pastor for Christ City Church for over two years, he launched his own practice, Scout Counseling, PLLC in 2016. As a therapist, he serves as a provider of psychotherapy and counseling for individuals, families, and couples in the Greater Chattanooga and Hamilton County area, particularly to those seeking guidance from a Christian perspective. 

In his practice, Tyler seeks to thoughtfully integrate his Christian faith with his clinical practice to provide his clients with a highly ethical and professional standard of care. When he is not working with his clients, you can usually find Tyler spending time with his wife and three boys, becoming an elite youth sports coach, having his faith tested by the Ole Miss Rebels, cheering on the Atlanta Braves, cooking on his ceramic grill, hunting, or fixing something around his house.
