Elizabeth Betrous, MA, NCC

Elizabeth offers clients support, clarity, and challenge through a warm, collaborative, and balanced therapeutic approach. Operating from the belief that thoughtful and supportive listening creates room for meaningful healing, growth, and change, Elizabeth strives to work alongside clients to explore how thoughts, beliefs, emotions, and experiences have shaped their lives.

Elizabeth provides counseling services to adults, teenagers, and families struggling with emotion regulation, mood disorders, relational struggles, and life transitions. She possesses extensive experience supporting adolescents and their families as they navigate various mental, emotional, and behavioral health challenges. She views the family unit as a team, assisting members in leveraging their relationships and internal resources to support one another through the healing proces

Elizabeth also has experience in supporting individuals from multicultural backgrounds who are navigating questions of identity, belonging, and family expectations. This includes helping clients balance different cultural expectations, understand their individual identity, and navigate complex family dynamics.

Elizabeth is trained in an eclectic approach, favoring psychodynamic, person-centered, and systemic approaches. Elizabeth also integrates techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to assist clients gain clarity regarding their values and beliefs while strengthening their capacity for emotional regulation and interpersonal connection.

A Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and actively pursuing licensure in the state of Tennessee, Elizabeth earned her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a Trauma Certificate from Wheaton College in 2026. She also completed degrees in Psychology and Music Performance from the University of Memphis in 2023.

When not working, Elizabeth enjoys anything that requires movement and time outdoors: hiking, biking, weight lifting, playing tennis, and taking long walks with good friends. You can also find her at the local library checking out too many books or playing the violin.

Fees

  • $60 to $120 per session for a 50 minute session. Fees are based upon income.
