Maggie REdpath, MSW

Maggie believes that every person, at their core, desires to feel seen and understood. Whether it is processing through life transitions, grief, past trauma, or current relationship dynamics, Maggie is passionate about examining thought patterns and exploring how those change us over time. If you have felt worn out, like you are “too much,” or unsure where to go next, there is practical help for you and much hope to gain from doing the hard work of exploring even the darkest parts of life.

Maggie has previous experience with college-aged individuals and older adults, but enjoys working with folks of all ages. She believes that counseling is not just a place to name our feelings, but a place to be challenged to grow into the version of ourselves we were created to be. Maggie utilizes a strengths-based perspective, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT),  and her relationship with Jesus in providing services to clients. Whether you are seeking relief from anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, or simply need a safe space, Maggie will encourage you and rally behind you as you take the brave step of seeking counsel.

Maggie earned her Master’s of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville as well as her undergraduate degree of a Bachelor’s in Social Work from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is also currently seeking licensure from the state of Tennessee and working towards obtaining the position of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Maggie enjoys anything that allows her to be creative, whether that be making jewelry, putting on shows for her niece and nephew, or doing karaoke with her friends. She is a newlywed and has a long term goal of being a foster parent.
