AMy Fowler, M.A., NCC

Amy works with adolescents, adults, and couples navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, loss, chronic health issues, marital and parental challenges, disordered eating, and addictions. She is passionate about working toward hope with those who feel stuck, broken, isolated, or for whom change seems impossible. Amy advocates for and teaches her clients the power of fierce self-compassion, which allows them to explore their thoughts, emotions, and actions more clearly.

Amy utilizes Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Emotion Focused Therapy techniques. She strives to create a haven where clients can share their wounds and heart needs while celebrating their unique strengths and gifts. Amy believes it is never too late to rewrite your story.

Amy earned her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Richmont Graduate University with a Certificate in Addictions. She holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Belhaven University. Amy is currently pursuing licensure in the state of Tennessee as a professional counselor. Amy is also a board certified counselor by the NBCC.

Amy has been married for thirty-two years and is the mother of three adult children. When not working, Amy can be found hiking, whipping up healthy versions of her favorite comfort foods, entertaining family and friends around the dinner table, and snuggling in an armchair with her dog, a book, and a warm cup of coffee.
